Unexpected Journey

So Sam, Maura, Elise and I on our free day decided to go to Hallein to learn about the Salt Mines. Well the mines were closed because it was snowing pretty hard! We hit a cafe where i tried to look very pretentious (did it work?) because Maura teased me about my little espresso. But what was unexpected was once we got there we decided to look around and found a lovely Cathedral at the top of the hill. Well the composer who worked at this lovely place was Franz Gruber, composer of Stile Nacht or Silent Night. Then we walked the Medieval streets and found a little hole in the wall for lunch. It turned into a really special day! Lunch was great too. Additionally, these were students I really enjoyed getting to know better. Great people!
